We re-cross the culvert and head for Seattle

Today, Independence Day, we leave for Seattle to visit our son Andrew. But first we have to cross that blasted culvert.

Radio Flyer, downtown Spokane

Spokane River - downtown
About 10:30 we hitch-up, point the truck and trailer in what should be the best direction, and head across the culvert that Jay spent a day repairing while we were touring Spokane. We make it without a problem! After hugs from the humans and smiles of-a-sort from the animals, we are on Hwy 2 heading west through miles of farmland, then orchards. We stop for some great cherries at a small stand, and settle in the Wenatchee River County Park, in Monitor, WA.

The Wenatchee River RV Park is pleasant and meets our expectations as campers – a busy freeway a hundred yards in one direction, railway tracks the same distance in the opposite direction. The third side borders the swiftly moving Wenatchee River and is beautiful.  The fourth consists of a Migrant Labor Camp, equipped with neat rows of group tents and an equal number of fresh looking factory built camp rooms with window air conditioners.
