Homer AK - Marcia & Martha have a BD.

We drive about 168 miles from Seward to Homer, a popular fishing and sightseeing area.

During the last few miles fly fishermen are evident in the creeks and lakes.  We pull in to the Oceanview RV Park, our second park right on the water.  This one like Seward looks out to a beautiful panorama of mountains.  Unlike Seward, this time we also have views of huge glaciers.

The parking is tricky, requiring the driver to back up hill and turn 90+ degrees into the spot.  Mike, known as the cowboy around here for his style of backing, finally has a problem; he is blocked in one direction by a parked rig, and my being on his tail with my rig is not helping matters.  But our caravan parking assistant fails to get the message to Mike to watch for a wood post, and Mike grazes it with one panel.  He handles his first ding well and fortunately all but a small crease buffs out fine.

That night the NorCal Eight go to dinner at Captain Pattie’s on the Homer Spit to celebrate Marcia and Martha’s birthdays.   We have a good time and the food is great.  Even Mike with a ribeye is happy.
