The House that Kerry Built

Kerry’s and Jay’s new house is being built in a factory but should not be mistaken for a double-wide you see trucked down the freeway.  This is a two-story “stick” house with 2x6 exterior walls, appropriate for the cold winters and snow-loads, installed on a very sturdy foundation.  In a few weeks the house will be taken, in sections, on a route that avoids the culvert but will still require some tricky work to get it (and a crane) to the job site.

The builder updates Jay in one module, while a worker applies paint in another.

The cabinets are added to the kitchen.

  1. It's been raining so much, the builders put off bringing up the house until this coming Monday, a week late. And now, it's raining again.
